Greenwich Businesses Join Together to Give Hunger the Boot

Local businesses in Washington County are uniting now through June 16th to collect donations for Comfort Food Community (CFC) as part of our ninth annual Give Hunger the Boot campaign! Each year this campaign engages the Greenwich community by increasing education around food insecurity and raising funds to support our efforts in feeding the community. We thank our local businesses for supporting CFC!

Supported by hometown sponsors including Betterbee, Aubuchon Hardware of Greenwich, and the Fort Miller Group, this uplifting campaign invites customers at partner establishments like Just Meats, The Ice Cream Man, and Geraghty's to participate by rounding up their purchases or donating spare change into the boot at the counter. The funds raised through this initiative will make a direct impact on CFC's food access initiatives, ensuring that every member of the community can enjoy nourishing meals.

"We are deeply grateful to our local business partners for their support in this campaign," said Amie Collins, Executive Director of CFC. "The raised funds will play a crucial role in advancing our food access initiatives, allowing us to provide nutritious meals to individuals within our community."

CFC will also host our annual Give Hunger the Boot Coin Drop event on Saturday, June 3rd, in downtown Greenwich. The proceeds from the Coin Drop event will contribute to CFC's ongoing efforts to combat food insecurity throughout the year.

Join us in making a difference and Give Hunger the Boot! Together, we can ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.
