Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Farm 2 School Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a key role in connecting local farms and NY State producers with schools across the region by coordinating the Farm 2 School program. The role involves everything from order packing and data tracking to delivery and invoicing—ensuring that students have access to fresh, local, and healthy food. The Coordinator will also provide support for other school-based and community food programs.
What You’ll Do

Deliver products to schools in a safe, professional, and food-safe manner while maintaining strong relationships with Food Service Directors and school districts.

Offer Harvest of the Month programming and educational events in schools for students to sample NY State products and learn about regional agriculture.

Coordinate with the Food & Farm Hub Operations Manager to manage records, update procedures, and collaborate on program goals.

Track and report progress toward grant objectives, tasks, and deadlines.

Receive and process incoming orders from farms and distributors.

Provide program support for the Student Nutrition Program and occasionally assist with food pantry services.

Offer flexible, cross-program support to meet organizational needs.
What We’re Looking For

Experience in or passion for food systems, school programs, or related fields, with the ability to meet job responsibilities.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely operate manual and electric pallet jacks.

Comfort with driving and maneuvering larger vehicles-(clean driving record required).

Tech-savvy with experience using Microsoft Excel, Office 365, and project management tools like Asana.

Commitment to excellent customer service and relationship-building.

GAP or ServSafe certification a plus Offer Harvest of the Month programming and educational events in schools for students to sample NY State products and learn about regional agriculture.
Work Environment
This role is based at our Food & Farm Hub, which includes a warehouse with walk-in coolers and freezers. The position involves indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly wage: $21–$23/hour (based on experience)
