Title: Food & Farm Hub Coordinator 
Reports to: Food & Farm Hub Operations Manager
FLSA status: Non-exempt
Schedule: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Compensation: $21 - $23/hr with benefits

Comfort Food Community (CFC) is dedicated to increasing food access and strengthening food systems in rural communities. We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Food & Farm Hub Coordinator to support the daily operations that keep our facilities, vehicles, and food distribution programs running safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

Operations & Facilities Support

  • Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of all CFC-owned and leased properties.

  • Develop and maintain facility-related standard operating procedures.

  • Create and manage preventative maintenance schedules.

  • Coordinate with contracted service providers.

  • Monitor building systems.

  • Support facility safety initiatives.

Fleet & Equipment Management

  • Manage vehicle maintenance schedules.

  • Ensure the safe operation and readiness of all vehicles and equipment.

Transportation & Food Distribution

  • Conduct local deliveries and pickups from farms, partners, and regional locations.

  • Load, unload, and transport produce, dry goods, frozen foods, and other food products.

  • Support food movement, storage, packing, and gleaning activities across CFC programs.

  • Assist with shipping and receiving.

General Operations Support

  • Assist with snow and ice removal.

  • Support waste management efforts.

  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and monthly Facilities Committee meetings.

What We're Looking For

Someone who brings:

  • Experience in facilities maintenance, vehicle operation, or related operational roles.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience coordinating maintenance projects, equipment upkeep, or fleet management.

  • Knowledge of facility safety practices and preventative maintenance programs.

  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

  • A commitment to creating safe, functional, and welcoming spaces.

  • Passion for supporting food access and strengthening rural communities.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

  • Experience driving box trucks and utility vans.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record with no serious infractions within the past three years.

  • Ability to pass a driving assessment.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing daily needs.

  • Willingness to use a personal cell phone to communicate with staff while on delivery routes.
