Comfort Food Community believes that food has the power to bring people together.

Whether it is at our pantries, in the garden, or around the table sharing a meal, food offers the opportunity to build relationships with community members from all walks of life.

Our volunteers are the beating heart of this organization. We could not meet the needs of the community without your support. We could not make our community a healthier place without your passion.

There are many ways to get involved!

Work with guests during pantry service or behind

the scenes by unloading deliveries or restocking shelves

Food Recovery

Join our 'glean team' and help us harvest excess produce from local farms that would otherwise go to waste

Lead an in-person or virtual cooking class/workshop for kids or adults in our community

Assist with prepping, packing and delivering meals to local students and families in need

  New Volunteers

Please follow these steps to complete volunteer registration:

  • A CFC Staff person will reach out to schedule your orientation. Orientations are required, occur on a rolling basis, and are about an hour long. We get to know more about you and you get to know more about us!

  • Start signing up for shifts! We manage all volunteer opportunities through which we will cover at your orientation.

Questions? Please contact or (518) 746-4118

We look forward to meeting you!
