Comfort Food Community Selected as Grant Recipient by The Marilyn Lichtman Foundation

Comfort Food Community (CFC), is pleased to announce that our organization was recently selected as a grant recipient by The Marilyn Lichtman Foundation. This generous award, totaling $50,000, will be used to help fund the construction of CFC’s Food & Farm Hub located at 101 Fiddlers Elbow Road in Greenwich, NY.

The Food and Farm Hub supports Comfort Food Community’s Fresh Food Collective and Supplemental Student Nutrition Programs, and will also accommodate the needs of the new Farm to School Program. CFC will use funding from The Marilyn Lichtman Foundation to construct and equip the expanded food hub operation. The facility will allow for receiving, washing, packing, and storing of increased amounts of food to meet the increasing needs of CFC’s programs and the people it serves.

Comfort Food Community would like to thank The Marilyn Lichtman Foundation for their continuous support. The foundation carries the legacy of founder, Marilyn Lichtman, through their mission of contributing funds to their community; to both those in need and those rendering aid and services. Their philanthropic work aims to assist in preserving our planet for future generations to live and enjoy.
