September is Hunger Action Month

September is Hunger Action Month, a month dedicated to raising awareness and inspiring action so everyone has access to the nutritious food they need.

This year, we are bringing awareness to how hunger can happen anywhere — in the rural communities that are surrounded by farmland, in our schools, in the workplace, and in our own neighborhoods.

Join us this month, and make a difference.

  • Do good with Chipotle! On Sunday, September 20th, 25% of sales from Chipotle in Queensbury (820 State Route 9, Queensbury, NY 12804) will be donated to Comfort Food Community. All you have to do is purchase something from Chipotle anytime between 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, and show the cashier the flyer, or use the Promo Code QBWLDR when ordering online.

  • Join us on Wednesday, September 30th at Cooper’s Cave Ale Company from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM for a benefit night. 15% of all food and beverages purchased by participants will be donated to us, helping ensure that everyone has access to the nutritious food they need. “My husband and I had a business for a total of 30 years. We did not put away for retirement. The cost of everything has gone up so much. We take money out of our savings each month. We also have an adult disabled son with us. We also purchase things for him. We so appreciate your time and effort getting food to people who need help (fruit & vegetables are usually the first to be left out of your grocery cart)”
