Please note that we will be taking a brief pause on programming during the week of 6/8 so our staff can take time to plan, reflect, and strategize on how to better serve the community. As a result, the Greenwich Pantry and the Cossayuna Pantry will be closed next week, and there will be no Farm 2 Library or Farm 2 Pantry distributions during that time.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to being back in full action on 6/15.

About the Recipe
An easy snack that is crisp and tangy with a satisfying crunch.

Ingredients
1 lb green beans
6 sprigs of dill
2 garlic cloves smashed
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 cups water
1 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
Preparation
Wash green beans, remove the stems, and add to a tall jar and add thyme or other desired herbs, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
In a medium saucepan bring the water, vinegar, salt, and sugar to a boil. Once boiling, pour into the jar until the liquid completely submerges the green beans.
Secure lid to the jar and let the jar cool on the counter until it reaches room temperature. Once cooled, put the jar into the refrigerator and let the green beans pickle for at least three hours before serving, but for best results serve after at least 24 hours. Enjoy for up to one month.
