About the Recipe

Smoothies are a simple and delicious way to add more fruits and vegetables into your diet.


  • 1 cup frozen fruit

  • 1 packed cup of spinach

  • 1 ripe banana or avocado

  • 1/2 cup yogurt

  • 3/4 cup juice or milk of your choice

  • Honey to taste (optional)

  • Fresh mint or basil (optional)


Combine ingredients in a blender until it is the consistency you like

Make it your Own:

You can easily switch out or add ingredients based upon your preference and what's in season. Add cucumber or mint for a fresh kick. Oats or nut butter for a protein-rich mix. Or mixed berries for antioxidants. It's best to use a frozen fruit or greens so you can enjoy your smoothie cold. 

You can easily turn this into a smoothie bowl by decreasing the amount of juice or milk to make a thicker mixture. Enjoy a smoothie bowl topped with fresh fruit, granola, nuts, or seeds.
