Chocolate Walnut Date Bites

About the Recipe

A delicious snack made with simple ingredients that also happens to be healthy!


  • 1 1/2 cups pitted dates

  • 1/3 cup tahini or nut butter

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup walnuts

  • pinch of salt

  • 1 cup shredded coconut (optional)


  1. In a food processor, puree the dates, tahini or nut butter, walnuts, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Scrape down the sides of the processor a few times to make sure everything gets combined.

  2. Remove from food processor and roll into 1-inch balls. You might have to squeeze them in your hands a few times to get them as condensed as possible, then roll them between your palms. 

  3. Optional: Roll the balls in unsweetened shredded coconut.

  4. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks!
