Office Assistant at Comfort Food Community Greenwich, NY Date Posted: August 22nd, 2022 ​ Title: Office Assistant Terms Employment Status: At-will Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hrs/wk Compensation: $16 - 18/hr., compensation commensurate w/ experience Benefits: Health Insurance – 50% employer match, Paid Vacation, Personal and Holidays Overview The Office Assistant will support the Executive Director, Program Managers, and Board members by entering and maintaining financial records.  Entering data related to income and expenses for grant and operational tracking in support of our mission.  Working closely with our Independent Bookkeeper to ensure compliance for audit review. Working with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth office operations.

Data entry in Bloomerang (Donor database) 
Providing reports on purchasing as requested 
Filing 
Scanning 
Serve as primary contact for vendors and customers engaged in business transactions 
Maintain all office supplies  
Skills and Abilities 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel 
Strong organization skills 
Strong communication skills, verbal, phone, and email 
Strong typing skills 
Experience with QuickBooks preferred but will train the right person 
Attention to detail and ability to analyze data 
General working knowledge of office equipment, printers, fax etc. 
Ability to work alone, self-starter. 
Ability to shift gears
