We're Hiring: Food Access Coordinator
Greenwich, NY | Part-Time (Tues–Thurs, 9am–4pm) | $21–$23/hr

Comfort Food Community (CFC) is looking for a Food Access Coordinator to help get food to the people who need it most. If you're passionate about food equity, logistics, and community outreach—and you’re not afraid to lift a few boxes along the way—this role might be for you.

As part of our Food Recovery & Access team, you’ll manage logistics, coordinate with partners, and ensure that rescued food is safely and efficiently distributed across our service area.
What You’ll Do:

Coordinate food deliveries to community partners

Track, enter, and report food recovery and access data

Follow food safety protocols from field to distribution

Maintain strong relationships with partners, volunteers, and distribution sites

Develop and maintain delivery schedules and clear communication with partners

Lead volunteer teams during weekly food packing activities

Collaborate with the volunteer coordinator to fill volunteer roles
What You Bring:

Experience coordinating logistics or working in food distribution

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate manual/power pallet jacks

Clean driving record and comfort driving larger vehicles (no CDL required)

Organized and self-directed with strong communication skills

Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Excel, Asana, and Office 365

Commitment to food access and excellent customer service

ServSafe or other food safety certification a plus (but not required)
Physical Requirements:
This is a hands-on, in-person job that includes working in a warehouse environment (coolers, freezers), driving, and being outdoors in various weather conditions. We provide training and support to help you succeed.
