Comfort Food Community Receives Stewart's Holiday Match

Comfort Food Community recently received the exciting news that our organization was awarded the Stewart’s Holiday Match.

Since its inception, the match program has allocated over $30 million in funds that support organizations who help children in need. Thanks to Stewart’s Shops generous patrons and community partners they were able to distribute $1.8 million to applicants this year alone.

In celebration of this news, we thought it would be a great time to highlight one of our programs that is impacted by this donation. Our Student Weekend Nutrition Program has seen significant growth over the past 2 years serving over 40 students in the Greenwich School District.

Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers and Battenkill Community Services, Inc. we have fully transitioned to a delivery based service- delivering weekend meals directly to the homes of children in need.

It is because of contributions like the Stewart’s Holiday Match we are able to continue serving our community during times of significant need. Our Student Weekend Nutrition Program is important now more than ever and we are so grateful to receive the support needed to continue our work.
