Comfort Food Community is joining the national organization, Tackle Hunger, to help achieve their goal of providing 14 BILLION meals in 2021. Their 'Souper Bowl of Caring' campaign supports food charities nationwide and CFC is inviting our local community to join the fun!
In the spirit of SuperBowl Sunday, CFC will be hosting a SuperBowl Themed Food Drive for our Greenwich and Cossayuna Food Pantries!
Over the next 2 weeks, we will be collecting donations of food and goods for our pantry guests to enjoy during the game. Our goal is to collect a total of 500 lbs. of food from Monday, January 25th through Wednesday, February 3rd!
Can you help us make it to the end zone?!
Wondering what you should donate? Here's some ideas!
-Healthy(ish) snacks like crackers, tortilla chips, pita chips, trail mix, and pretzels (no candy please!)
-Dips like salsa, guacamole, hummus, and veggie dip
-Veggie platters, meat and cheese platters
-Jarred pickles, olives, and roasted red peppers
-Beverages like flavored seltzer and juice (no soda please!)
-Paper products like napkins and paper towels
DONATION DROP-OFF:
All donations can be dropped at our Greenwich Food Center located at 2530 Route 40 or Cossayuna Food Pantry located at 21 Bunker Hill Road.
We are open during the following days/times:
Monday 4-7PM (Greenwich)
Tuesday 3:30-5:30PM (Cossayuna)
Wednesday 9-11AM and 4-7PM (Greenwich)
If you cannot make those times please reach out to haley@comfortfoodcommunity.org and we will do our best to accomodate.
