In addition to his work in these industries, Mike brings extensive knowledge of Information Technology and an interest in improving upon and finding solutions for tech processes and administration.
After graduating High School, Mike traveled the United States extensively. Following his travels, he attended SUNY Adirondack graduating with an associate degree in Liberal Arts and then transferred to the College of St. Josephs in Rutland, VT receiving his bachelor’s degree in Psychology. After spending two decades in hospitality, Mike felt the desire to seek work in an industry that aligned more directly with his interest in connecting to a mission with meaningful purpose. With that in mind, he pursued a career change with the intention of finding a job that would allow him to make a direct impact on society and individuals. Mike moved back to Shushan where he found Comfort Food Community and accepted the role of Operations Manager. Mike supports CFC across many aspects of the organization including IT support, accounting, and campaign management to name a few.
Mike feels very fortunate to have joined this wonderful organization and shares that he’s met the most friendly and empathetic people that he has ever known. He is impressed with the motivation of the entire team- his co-workers, volunteers, and board members- as they are guided by an unwavering focus on their mission. Mike is grateful to have found a renewed sense of purpose through the opportunity to work for an organization that allows him to give back to his community. In his free time, Mike can be found enjoying hobbies like reading and playing the guitar. He looks forward to all the future holds at CFC!
