Employment Status: At-will

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hrs/wk

Compensation: $16 - 18/hr., compensation commensurate w/ experience

Overview

The Administrative Associate will provide efficient day-to-day administration of Comfort Food Community’s back-of-house operations while working closely with the Executive Director, CFC Staff, Board and Volunteers. Offer of employment is subject to a background check.

 

Responsibilities

  • Finance/Budget (60%)

    • Manage the documentation of all expenses; work closely with the bookkeeper to ensure timely and accurate expense account entry into the financial system (Quickbooks); ensure timely payment of invoices

    • Work closely with the bookkeeper to ensure the timely and accurate entry of income to the financial system (Quickbooks) based upon the financial chart of accounts

    • Serve as primary contact for vendors and customers engaged in business transactions

  • Data Entry (25%)

    • Accurately maintain the donor records in the CFC donor database (currently Bloomerang); responsible for all data entry into the database

    • Ensure the timely and accurate update of donor/income records into Quickbooks

  • Administrative (15%)

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date document files across all departments

    • Maintain all office supplies in a timely manner

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with Quickbooks and standard financial terms and procedures (Chart of Accounts, Classes, Accounts, etc.)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially demonstrable knowledge of Excel formatting, formulas, and functions

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 operating environment

  • Demonstrable knowledge of IT applications and systems, both hardware and software

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
